Rich text editor
Built the core writing environment. Supports headings, lists, tables, figures, and footnotes. Autosaves every few seconds — no manual save needed. The editor is designed for long-form academic writing, not quick notes.
Source library
Add sources by URL, DOI, ISBN, or PDF upload. Metadata is extracted automatically — title, authors, year, journal, abstract. For DOIs, we pull from the publisher registry. For ISBNs, we look up the edition. For URLs, we read the page and extract what we can. PDFs get full-text extraction and metadata parsing.
Citation formatting
Five citation styles from day one: APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago 17, IEEE, and Harvard. Insert citations inline as you write. The bibliography is generated automatically from your cited sources and updates in real time.
Export to DOCX
Export your full document with citations and bibliography formatted to your chosen style. The export is a clean Word file, ready for submission.
Known issues at launch
- PDF metadata extraction misses some scanned documents — text extraction requires selectable text in the PDF.
- Citation suggestions occasionally show duplicates when sources have similar titles.
- Large documents (15,000+ words) load slowly on first open. We're working on this.
