Search: try it before you sign up
Our topic pages have long promised "search 200M+ papers, free" — but clicking through used to drop every visitor straight onto a login form. Folio Search now shows a logged-out visitor real results, up to 8 of them, pulled from the same scholarly sources (Semantic Scholar, CrossRef, OpenAlex) signed-in search already uses.
It's a preview, not the full product: saving to your library, citing, synthesizing, exporting, and saved searches still need an account, since they're tied to your data. The preview itself is capped — 30 searches an hour per visitor, with common queries cached for a day — so you can try it honestly without it costing us on the way in. Radar: sort by relevance to your own library
Radar's feed could already be sorted by citation count or by recency. Neither one knows what you're actually working on — an old, heavily-cited paper from a neighboring field could easily outrank the on-topic preprint you came for.
There's now a third option, Most relevant, which ranks your feed against the topic centroid of your own library — the same blend of semantic similarity, citations, and recency that Discovery Agents and Folio Search already use internally. It's additive: citation and date sorting are unchanged, and relevance is opt-in, not the new default. See Using Research Radar.

/check) now points instructors toward Assignments. If you're hand-checking certificate codes one at a time, there's now a card linking to Folio Assignments, where submissions arrive with their certificate already attached. - Added
/llms.txt, a curated, plain-text index of Folio's product and content pages for AI assistants and research tools that read it — alongside a fix for a bug that had quietly made both/llms.txtand our PWA manifest unreachable for any signed-out visitor since they shipped.
