- A survey respondent could plant a live formula in the researcher's CSV export. Four of Surveyor's result-export formats — Results, Audit Trail, Summary, and SPSS Labels — quoted answers for CSV correctly but didn't neutralize spreadsheet formulas, so an open-text answer like
=HYPERLINK(...)came out live and ran the moment the file was opened in Excel or Sheets. Every export path now goes through the same hardened writer the app already used elsewhere, so a formula-shaped answer is written as plain text instead. While in there, we also fixed the same paths dropping the encoding marker Excel needs — Arabic and Hebrew answers were showing up as garbled characters, not because of anything wrong with the data, just a missing marker in the file. Nothing to do on your end; it's fixed for every export going forward.
